Aldi bums Special K

A coincidence? I think not.

Aldi have been going up and up in my estimation recently, ad-wise. I might even pop in there from time to time if they deigned to give you basket to put your stuff in.

Still, almost as if to remind you that even the funny adverts are evil, here's the puzzling small print. See if you can make out what it means. They've not exactly made it easy.

I don’t understand … they do have baskets, always have had…*shrug*.

These ads are completely ace. I love gin granny.

Surely it just means that during their taste test trial 153 people liked the Kellogg’s brand cereal and 73% of those 153 also liked the Aldi brand cereal… Really not seeing anything confusing here which alarms me because that could mean I am being unbelievably stupid!

It’s primarily a tongue in cheek comment. But what was the original sample that the 153 liked? Was it 200? In which case about 75 per cent of people liked Special K. In which case about half the original sample like Aldi Flakes, or whatever they’re called. That’s assuming ‘liked Aldi’ means ‘liked Aldi Flakes’. It’s very oddly worded.

Even more disturbing is the mental image conjured up by ‘Aldi Flakes’.
